Women Rule Manchester: A Portrait of the Women of Our City

These short films build a mass portrait of the women interviewed for the Women Rule Manchester durational interview project. Having never worked with film or editing software before, Megan set herself the challenge of learning a long sought after new discipline, which she hopes will inform her future work.

#WomenRuleMcr aims to capture the diverse identity and opinions of Manchester’s women, their relationship to the city and their hopes for the future. The piece was created in response to the MIF pieces What Is The City But The People? and What If Women Ruled The World? and saw approximately 33 women from different generations and backgrounds share their unique perspectives on topics personal, local and political.
