In response to the overarching theme of Migration within the MIF programme, The Nightbus sought to showcase primary concerns highlighted through interview of the general BME population in Manchester City Centre. In reaction to the recent EDL March in June 2017, respondents expressed fears over the repercussions of populism in the wake of atrocious terror activities in the UK, and the effects this has on their lives and the potential futures of migrants and refugees placed in the area.

Crosscutting the groups in society most susceptible to such bigotry, the work interconnects these groups on the extreme, highlighting the wide array of people affected by such political fallout – from the queer performer to the often dismissed migrant woman.
