Machine de la Danse is a choreography for digital dancers in response to Boris Charmatz’s 10000 Gestures. A collaboration between Elisa Morais, her long term collaborator María Álvarez (collectively known as Sois de Traca) and a digital machine that generates random gestures, in a quest to explore themes of uniqueness and technology.
The machine is a piece of code created in Processing that acts as a choreographer generating geometrical dancing pieces whose ephemeral gestures are captured and structured.
